Located just 8km from Castlebar in the grounds of Turlough Park Estate, Co Mayo, the Museum comprises the estate’s original house, which is in the High Victorian Gothic style and has been fully restored, as well as a purpose-built Exhibition Gallery. The extensive grounds also house an artificial lake and the site of a castle that dates from Anglo Norman times.
